Overview

CXS (ConfigServer eXploit Scanner) scans files as they are uploaded to a server, detecting known exploits, malicious scripts, suspicious file types and web shells. It can scan on demand, on a schedule, or in real time via inotify, and is commonly deployed alongside ConfigServer Security & Firewall on cPanel servers.

Features

  • Real-time upload scanning

Inspects files at the moment they are uploaded, blocking malicious content before it executes.

  • Scheduled and on-demand scans

Full file system sweeps on a schedule or triggered manually.

  • Exploit signature detection

Matches against a maintained signature set covering web shells and known exploit kits.

  • Quarantine handling

Moves detected files to quarantine rather than deleting them outright.
