Overview
OSM monitors the mail leaving a server rather than the mail arriving at it. That is the direction that matters once an account is compromised: a hijacked script or a stolen password turns a hosting server into a spam source, and the first sign is usually that the server's IP address has already been blacklisted. OSM watches sending volume per account and per hour, alerts when a threshold is crossed, and can hold or block the account before the damage reaches the rest of the server's customers. Licenses are issued per server and validate against the server IP address.

Installation
OSM is installed over SSH as root with the vendor script and configured from inside WHM. The license is activated against the server IP at checkout, and thresholds are set before monitoring begins.
Frequently asked questions
How is OSM different from an inbound spam filter?
An inbound filter protects your customers from mail arriving at the server. OSM protects the server's own sending reputation by watching the mail leaving it, which is what a compromised account produces.
Does OSM need CSF or another ConfigServer product?
No. It runs on its own, though it is commonly deployed alongside the other ConfigServer tools on the same server.
